Tapping into your Best-even when you feel tapped out.

Dr. Stephen “Bird” Birchak is a professor, author and reformed class clown. He is also a widely known authority on character education, aggression and relationships. Dr. Bird is the author of a new book titled How to Build a Child’s Character – by tapping into your own, and the co-author of Champions of Dignity. He’ll speak at the Altamont Library Monday February 25th at 7:00 p.m.

Read to a Dog

Jane is taking vacation week off but will be back 2/28. Come on in and read to Jane, the Portuguese water dog who loves to listen to stories. Jane is at the Library Thursday afternoons from 3-4. Reading to Jane is a great way for kids to gain confidence in their reading abilities while having fun. Call 861-7239 to sign up for a 15-minute time slot or just drop in.
